Selection Group introduces “Hoop” and “Waltz,” two brands that will enhance its multi-residential offerings29 March 2021
Laval, March 26th, 2021 – Selection Group is proud to introduce Hoop and Waltz, two new brands that will enhance its multi-residential offerings. The two brands reflect the innovative character of the company’s numerous intergenerational developments. Inspired by Selection Group’s three decades of experience in the retirement complex sector, Hoop and Waltz will offer services and common areas that meet the needs of its demanding clientele. Section Group’s intergenerational offering will now comprise Hoop and Waltz (which replace REZ and fridöm); these will complement Sélection Retraite and Yimby.
Hoop facilities will offer clients rental condos that adapt perfectly to all types of families. Each unit will ensure residents comfort and simplicity, and the common areas in the properties will promote memorable family moments in couples, with children, friends and even with “four-legged” companions. Hoop represents a modern and warm neighborhood life for families who want to be at the heart of the action.
The Waltz developments will enable those who want to enjoy their freedom to live the dream life. These premium rental condos will offer refined spacious living areas, with impeccable finishes tailored to the smallest detail. The common areas and the concierge services offered in Waltz properties will be inspired by offerings in the best hotels, to provide residents with truly-unique experiences.
These two brands will enable Selection Group to refine its range of multi-residential products, to highlight their avant-garde and diversified intergenerational character. Visually, the new identities also better represent the company’s growing range of customers.

Selection Group’s new brands in brief
The Hoop brand is inspired by the youthful and playful “Hula Hoop” and borrows circular imagery from this traditional children’s (and adult’s) toy, which also recalls “circles of friends” and “circles of life.” Colorful and fun, Hoop is designed to appeal to our customers of all ages.
Our first 88 apartment Hoop complex is currently in operation as part of the District Union development in Terrebonne. The complex shares its building with 74 Yimby apartments. A second Hoop facility is under construction at Espace Montmorency, a joint 300 apartment project in Laval being developed by Selection Group, Montoni and the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ.
Waltz is designed to foster pleasure in life. The name and brand refer to the elegance of the waltz, which continues to be danced in grand balls around the world. Waltz recalls the elegance and refinement of music inspired movement.
A first Waltz complex of 172 apartments has been in operation in Terrebonne, in the District Union development since 2019. A second Waltz 200 apartment facility is under construction in the Espace Montmorency project in Laval.
These two brands complement Selection Group’s two other real estate product offerings: Selection Retraite and Yimby.
