Réseau Sélection becomes Groupe Sélection18 October 2018
Réseau Sélection announced today that it will now be known as Groupe Sélection, a name that better represents its distinguishing vertical integration structure. The company will also be slightly adjusting its logo. The changes take place amidst the company’s 30th anniversary year and align with its strategic goals, which include a planned expansion outside Québec.
A new name that better reflects an innovative business strategy
The reference to the word “group” in the new identity reflects the company’s vertical integration structure and the totality of its business units. Since its beginnings in 1989, Groupe Sélection has implemented a unique vertically-integrated structure, which included the formation of a construction business to develop real estate projects, a strategy that has proved to be highly advantageous. This new name enables Groupe Sélection to better highlight this distinction and to differentiate itself from its competitors in Quebec. This change should also facilitate penetration into English-speaking markets.
The Groupe Sélection logo will also get a slight silver touch to differentiate it from the Sélection Retraite logo, without however distancing it too far from this identify, which is at the heart of its business activities.
Reorganization of the real estate division
The brand identities in the company’s real estate division will now include: Sélection Retraite which targets clients 55 years old and over; Fridöm, offering boutique apartments; REZ, to address the eclectic needs of modern families; and Yimby which is designed by and for millennials. The Fridöm logo was upgraded to include a more luxurious touch. Kubica will cease to exist and will be incorporated into REZ, which henceforth will become a brand instead of a Groupe Sélection division.

My focus is now turning to the future which is shaping out to be quite promising as our expansion plans now target Ontario, the other Canadian provinces, and the United States.
